Larry Christoperson
Larry Christoperson has been a member of the Cache Rock and GeM Club for over 20 years. He has been 2nd VP over trips for years. He has been helping with the shed for as long as the club has had one. He has been rockhounding his entire life. His favorite rocks are Geodes.
As long as he can remember he has always been interested in rocks. When he was a teenager he was in a 4H rockhounding group that put a display case in the fair in his hometown. His father worked at a Pumice mine. Larry later worked at the same mine for a year after he graduated from high school.
One of his favorite memories from being in the club is from a rock trip to Wammsutter about 10 years ago. He went with his granddaughter to that trip. There was also a fire somewhere to the northwest. He remembers that there was some smoke in the air. While looking for fossils his granddaughter brought him some horse bones.

Before joining the club I didn’t know what rocks were leavearits. The club has helped me determine which rocks need to be left right there.
